Cardsharp 2: The credit card folding safety knife

Cutting edge

That's some credit card you've got there, is likely to be the first thing people say when you whip out the Cardsharp 2 credit card folding safety knife from your wallet.

Created by Iain Sinclair and made from polypropylene with a 65mm stainless steel surgical blade, the design means it transforms from a credit card shape into a knife with a couple of folds.

Costing ?15, it weights only 14 grams making it ideal to slip in your bag on your next adventure and the blade is certainly sharp enough to cut through most things. We diced a tennis ball with no problem, while food like tomatoes and bread proved equally easy.

To give you some protection when it's in your bag the blade comes with a simple locking mechanism. When folded, it is just three folds, there is plenty of grip to get a good purchase.

The catch for having something so small and light is that you won’t get any other tools or uses for this as you would a multi-tool, but then how many of those can you fit in your wallet?
