Residents of Needles, California, had no need for a bath on the afternoon of 13 August, 2012. A storm rolled through, dropping 46C rain onto the town.
That's the hottest rain ever recorded, according to weather records researcher Maximiliano Herrera, quoted on Jeff Masters' blog on Wunderground. "Monday's rain at 115F in Needles sets a new world record for the hottest rain in history," Masters said.
