
Nasa has significantly narrowed the target landing zone for its Curiosity Mars rover, so it will drop much closer to its mission destination: the Aeolis Mons mountain.
"We're trimming the distance we'll have to drive after landing by almost half," said Pete Theisinger, project manager for the Mars Science Laboratory at Nasa. "That could get us to the mountain months earlier."
