At its WWDC conference in San Francisco, Apple CEO Tim Cook has unveiled a series of significant updates to the MacBook range.
The star of the show was the next generation MacBook Pro, complete with a 15-inch Retina Display running at 2,880x1,800 pixels. Apple claims this has four times the number of pixels than the previous model, with comparable sharpness to the new iPad. This is significantly higher than even HD, which at its high end maxes out at 1,920x1,080 pixels, and on a significantly smaller screen so images and text are incredibly sharp.
