The HTC One X might have been first out of the quad-core traps, but it's since been followed by the Samsung Galaxy S3 and now it's the turn of the LG 4X HD, which does its best to beat Samsung and HTC's much-hyped powerhouses at their own game.

They both have a similar outsize look, though 4X HD is a little smaller at 132x68x9mm than the S3's 137x71x9mm but not so you'd really notice. The capacitive screen's ever so slightly smaller too (4.7in as opposed to 4.8in) and takes up most of the front, with just a thin strip above and below, the latter carrying the three prime Android buttons -- back, home and menu.
