Looking to make an impression? Try jewellery made of 'skin'

Skin Secret

Skin Secret Skin Secret Skin Secret Skin Secret

The clothes and jewellery we wear reflect the way we want to be seen by other people, which is why we tend to stick to things that are quite appealing to the eye -- gold, feathers, precious metals. Fragments of bone jewellery have been found with human remains dating over 100,000 years old. Controlling our appearance with jewellery is a very old game indeed.

What to make of a line of jewellery that looks like it's made of flaps of human skin, though? The striking and unusual work of jewellery graduate I-Ting Ho, "Skin Secret" is a provocative selection of earrings, broaches, keyrings and other trinkets made of silicone rubber that really, really look like human skin.
